Trepat

Ever dreamt about a flavourful, bold red wine that is only 10.5% abv ? if so, you might want to give this bottle a try. Trepat is a rare grape from the Conca de Barbera region of Catalonia that produces light coloured, low alcohol red wines, much like Poulsard in Jura. It’s easy drinking but certainly not a shrieking violet; earthy cherry aromas, the palate is focused and direct with good structure and a consistent, long finish. Quite a flexible wine in that you can enjoy it both cold in a picnic for example or at room temperature with mature cheese and charcuterie. Limited production of 704 bottles.
