Laurent Bannwarth with yet another rare example of just how pure of an expression you can get in Alsace. Gewurztraminer from his best plots, rigorously sorted with the highest quality bunches selected for this cuvee. 20 days on skin contact followed by 10 months raising on fine lees. Very cloudy, intense amber colour, scintillating aromas of candied orange peel, rose petals, souk spices, clove and a touch of zaafran. The palate is intense and powerful yet with a dash of freshness to deliver excellent drinkability. A beautifully complex and special orange wine that pairs well with oriental cuisine. We recommend serving lightly chilled (about 40-50 minutes in the fridge) and opening 15 minutes before drinking.
