Cuvee DD

Cuvee DD 2022

“Dangerously Delicious”” AOC Arbois, France

£29.50 a bottle

In stock

Cuvee DD is called after Stephane Tissot’s father, Andre “DD”, and is made from a blend of 40% Trousseau, 30% Poulsard and 30% Pinot Noir from the Domaine’s Biodynamic vineyards in Arbois. You’ll find a strikingly lively wine that is made with the precision and quality that Domaine Tissot is known for; a complex nose full of ripe red fruit leads to a wide and round palate with lush flavours of raspberry, bright, ripe cherry and hints of purple flowers and spice. We recommend serving it chilled and open 15-20 minutes before drinking. Excellent to sip on its own or to accompany roast/grilled poultry dishes or mild cheese. The allocation of this wine is very limited due to the low yield.

INFO ON GROWER

Benedicte and Stephane Tissot run and manage all aspects of the respect Domaine Tissot that covers 32 Hectares of the best plots in Jura. The Vineyards are all biodynamically farmed and produce superb quality Poulsard (also known as Ploussard), Pinot Noir and Trousseau in reds, and Chardonnay and Savagnin in whites. The Domaine prides itself on offering single varietal wines along with traditional Vin Jaune (a white wine made from Savagnin and elevated in an open tank without being “topped up”). The wines are alive, precise and complex with great potential for ageing.
